Dr. Igi And Dr. Noor become the Trainer on Summer School 2018: Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Medical and Biomedical Applications, at Universitas Gunadarma, Jakarta.

Dr. Noor Akhmad Setiawan will serves as Tutorials/Workshop Chairs in The 3rd INNS Conference on Big Data and Deep Learning (INNS BDDL), which will be held Tuesday through Thursday, April 17 – 19, 2018 at the The Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur, Bali, Indonesia.

Dr. Igi Ardiyanto was awarded an NVIDIA Titan Xp under the NVIDIA GPU Grants Program. Looking forward for boosting up the deep learning research in our group !

Dr. Igi and Dr. Hanung are selected to present their recent updates on their research entitled “Deep Learning-based Diabetic Retinopathy Assessment on Embedded System”, in the 39th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC’17), in conjunction with International Biomedical Engineering Conference of KOSOMBE, which was held at International Convention Center (ICC), Jeju Island, Korea from July 11 to 15, 2017. This year’s conference theme: “Smarter Technology for a Healthier World” will cover diverse topics of cutting-edge research in biomedical engineering, healthcare technology R&D, translational clinical research, technology transfer and entrepreneurship, and biomedical engineering education. The conference program will feature high-profile keynote lectures, exhibitions, minisymposia, workshops, invited sessions, oral and poster sessions, and special sessions for students, young professions, clinicians and entrepreneurs, and exhibitions.

Dr. Igi and Dr. Teguh attended the 15th IAPR Conf. on Machine Vision and Application (MVA 2017), presenting the deep learning paper entitled “Deep Residual Coalesced Convolutional Network for Efficient Semantic Road Segmentation”. The paper was selected for the oral presentation.

Dr. Igi gave a 2 day training boot camp for 5 Chevron staffs who intended to continue pursuing doctoral degree. The training included an introduction to Python and Deep Learning, as well as Deep Learning toolkit and library for machine learning.

Dr. Igi was giving a general lecture on Deep Learning at Politeknik Caltex Riau.

Mr. Tomoki Minote, a 4th year bachelor student of Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, has finished the internship program at Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, UGM. He worked on deep reinforcement learning for robotics under supervision of Dr. Igi Ardiyanto.
